Who We Are
Future All-Stars is a a youth-based non-profit organization established to help connect youth to professional and collegiate athletes through an athletic and academic mentorship program in an effort to lead kids out of adversity, and help bridge the gap between them and their dreams.
This youth-serving organization is dedicated to demonstrating leadership in social responsibility and using the popularity and visibility of local teams and players to affect positive change within the community.
Teams and players involved in Future All=Stars recognize and understand the responsibility they have to giving back to the communities that support them. Therefore, many of them participate and assist in a diverse array of outreach programs and events benefitting the youth who look up to them.
The program consists of players who not only understand the responsibility they have in giving back to the community, but have developed a passion for it and embrace it.
What We Do
Future All-Stars specifically works with other local and international youth-serving organizations that are geared toward these key social issues:
1. Education – Players individually participate in various reading activities and programs that aim to encourage young people to develop a life-long love of reading. Activities can range from read-alouds by players or other shared readings at schools, libraries, and community-based organizations. Players also contribute time to sit down with children and address the significance of schoolwork, and enforce a healthy work-ethic for the youth by emphasizing on the importance of the fundamentals of education and its significance to their future.
2. Youth and family development – The program is dedicated to providing resources and facilities where kids and families can learn and play. The players serve as role models in the areas of sports, fitness, and nutrition by encouraging children and their parents to make healthy lifestyle choices. The players also serve as athletic mentors by becoming guides the children can turn to for advice and support. The children will also learn values such as sportsmanship, respect and teamwork taught through sports-related activities with players and coaches.
3. Health related causes – The program stresses the importance of making healthy choices and working towards living well. These efforts include encouraging exercise and fitness, raising awareness for health related causes such as HIV/AIDS, and providing necessary resources for young people and families in need.
Future All-Stars is committed to giving back and promoting positive change within the community, motivated by the unique opportunity to make a profound difference in the world.
